The new Federal Minister of the Interior and Community (Lena Dörrie) is used to mastering big challenges. But a murder at the Conference of Interior Ministers is something else. Especially at the back of the Bavarian beyond, without any cell phone reception, isolated from the outside world. To make matters worse: The 16 interior ministers of the federal states (including Jan Böhmermann, Henny Reents, Christoph Zrenner) are of no help in clarifying the matter.

It is really turbulent at this folk festival, when the municipal boundaries are confirmed from old tradition and everything is upside down. For this occasion leaves Thomas Weidmann his girlfriend and flees because of his botched university career from the city of Berlin back to his native village. At the party, he meets Kerstin Werner, whose life has just come out of joint - her marriage is broken and her husband Jürgen on the jump to another, younger woman.

His father, a successful politician, does not want to take care of him and therefore places him into a mental institution. He is put into a room with Alexander, a guy with a compulsive disorder, and is shown around by Marie, an anorectic girl.
