Eddy Vallante was born and raised in Rhode Island and received his B.A. in Visual and Media Arts with a focus on Film in 2004 from Emerson College. He started his career as a producer's assistant on HBO's "The Sopranos" and has worked as a producer on both film and commercial projects of all kinds.

While in the Yirgacheffe region, Hugh met a 27 year-old coffee farmer named Dukale, working to lift his family out of poverty.
