When a self-important comedian has an out-of-body experience, his body is hijacked by the spirit of a heckler he accidentally killed, and he must find a way to reclaim it before his career as a stand-up is ruined now that an idiot is in charge.

When a pretty young nurse, just separated from her husband, begins work at the hospital, she senses that Patrick is communicating with her, and he seems to be using his psychic powers to manipulate events in her life.
