美術部に所属する木崎朔子（上原実矩）は、漁港で船のスケッチに苦戦している最中に誤って海に転落してしまう。それを目撃した同じ美術部員の西原光（若杉凩）が「溺れる朔子」の絵を描いて絵画コンクールで受賞。朔子の絵は学校に飾られ、新聞記者に取材された西原は「次回作のモデルを朔子にする」と勝手に発表するのだった。一方、朔子は悔しさから絵の道を諦め、代わりに壊れた鳩時計などを使って造形物の創作に挑戦するが、再婚した父と臨月の義母、そして親友の大谷栄美（森田想）と仲違いしてしまう。朔子の自宅の取り壊しと新居への引っ越しが迫るなか、美術室で向き合う朔子と西原。朔子は、絵を描く西原の真剣なまなざしに圧倒されながら「なぜ自分をモデルに選んだのか」と疑問をぶつける……。

Yumi (Mai Kiryu), studying design at university, is dating Naoya (Kisetsu Fujiwara), a member of the theatre society, when one day she learns that she's pregnant. She tells Naoya, who dreams of owning his own theatre company in the future. The more they face reality, the more they seem to be at odds with one another...

In the silent mountains, surrounded by beautiful mountains on all sides. A man carrying an urn, Iori Kano, appears in front of Mizuki Takahashi, a beautiful woman staring at the fire of a kiln in a humble workshop. Iori is Mizuki's brother-in-law. He has come to inform Mizuki of the death of her mother, Isuzu Kano. For some reason, Mizuki had abandoned her parents' home and was now living a peaceful life with her husband, ceramic artist Tetsuro Takahashi. Iori's appearance cuts through that peace and brings her back to the dark past. This sense of guilt over her own deeds eventually condemns Mizuki in the form of the ghost of Isuzu, and finally leads her down the path of destruction.

After a long and unsuccessful struggle to get pregnant, convinced by the discourse of an adoption association, Satoko and her husband decide to adopt a baby boy. あるイギリス戯曲が、日本で初めてとある小さな町で上演されることになる。オーディションでそのキャストに選出されて意気込む6人の少年少女たちだったが、公演は中止になってしまう。ショックに打ちひしがれる中、1人の少女が稽古しようとメンバーに持ち掛ける。その呼びかけに奮起し、大人たちに上演中止撤回を迫るが事態は好転しそうもない。どうしても舞台に立ちたい彼らは、本番予定だった日に劇場へ向かい…。

人との付き合いが下手で、本音で話すことができない高校3年生の坂上拓実（中島健人）。ある日彼は、全く接点のないクラスメートの成瀬順（芳根京子）と共に担任教師から地域ふれあい交流会の実行委員を任される。幼少時に発した言葉で家族をバラバラにさせたことから筆談でしか会話できない彼女に戸惑う中、拓実は地域向けの演目となるミュージカルの準備を進める。一方の順はミュージカルのヒロインに選ばれ、拓実にある言葉を掛けられたのを機に自分の思いを歌で伝えようと思い立つ。

結成5年目の漫才コンビ「アカコとヒトミ」の高城ヒトミ（清水富美加）と本田アカコ（松井玲奈）は、小劇場で常連客に漫才を見せる日々を送っていた。ある日、ネタ合わせをする河川敷で自転車泥棒を捕まえてから、二人の状況が変化し始める。バラエティー番組に初めて出演し、それをきっかけに学生時代の旧友と再会。コンビとして売れそうになった矢先に……。

Meanwhile, Mayu's uncle Uchida Kazuki is a freelancer writer. He chases after the hideous monster Yoshie who attacks people. Kazuki receives a phone call that his niece Mayu ran away. He begins a search for her and finds her cellphone on a mountain path. He sees Yoshie's picture on her cellphone.
