A film about a zookeeper and his renewed relationship with his estranged daughter is fragmented and interrupted by the filmmaker’s own voice, reading an email to his sister about the roots of this story in their own shared history with an absent father. Through memory, dreams, and fiction, (No Subject) probes the various ways of representing the past in order to process and break free of it.

Algeria region of the high flatlands. As Islamist groups continue to spread terror, Rashid, a young Jihadist, leaves the mountains to return to his village. In keeping with the law « of pardon and national harmony », he has to surrender to the police and give up his weapon. He thus receives amnesty and becomes a « repenti ». A French documentary

Laetitia and Sophie go to Quimper, town where Laetitia used to live, to pass the weekend. Sophie is having problems with her husband, while Laetitia tells her about one of her youth's boyfriends, the "masked sailor" she used to love while she lived in Quimper.

Alban lives in a castle he has just inherited. The inside has been in decay for a long time. He meets Jerôme, a young gypsy from the neighbouring town. A strange relationship begins between them in this place.

This is a combination coming out and first love story. The swimmer and diver Lucard is interested in attractive Martin. The film follows the characters' coming out with all its difficulties, the bitter-sweet pleasures of first love and the dreadful moment when one comes down to reality and realizes that one's beloved friend has a hard way to go yet. The positive message the film tries to transmit is the somewhat common motto "Live each day of your life as if it were your last."
