数百人の学生がウトヤ島のサマーキャンプに参加し、活発に国の未来について語り合っている中、突然の銃声があたりをつんざく。何が起こっているのかわからないまま、仲間たちと森へ逃げ込んだ少女カヤ（アンドレア・バーンツェン）。銃声は止むことなく、学生たちは島中を逃げ回る。カヤは恐怖のまっただ中でありったけの勇気を奮い起こし、はぐれた妹エミリアを捜し始めるのだが…。少年少女たちが無差別に銃撃された72分という時間が、リアルタイムで描かれる。
