17世紀フランス。銃士に憧れ、パリへやって来た無鉄砲な青年ダルタニアンは、そうとは知らず高名な三銃士それぞれと決闘の約束をかわしてしまう。その矢先、陰の権力者リシュリュー枢機卿の親衛隊と乱闘騒ぎが起き、生意気だが腕が立つダルタニアンは三銃士に気に入られ、彼らの仲間となる。やがて英仏間に紛争を起こして王位を奪おうとたくらむ枢機卿と悪女ミレディの陰謀を知り、ダルタニアンらは祖国を守るために立ち上がる。
