夏の終わりのある日、横山良多は、再婚した妻のゆかりと、彼女の連れ子を伴って、久々に実家を訪問する。この日は、良多の亡き兄の15周忌だった。開業医だった父・恭平は、跡継ぎにと期待を寄せていた兄を不慮の事故で失ったショックから今なお立ち直れずにいて、目下失業中の良多との対話は、何かと衝突してぎくしゃくしがち。一方、やはり自分の家族を連れて帰省した姉のちなみは、努めて明るく振る舞う。

Bonobono: Kumomo no Ki no Koto was the second theatrical Bonobono movie, released by Amuse Pictures in theaters in Japan on August 10, 2002. It was done completely in 3D.
