After witnessing a man behave violently towards his girlfriend, someone decides to intervene. Using the power of suggestion to alter memories, he completely turn the situation to his advantage.

It is 1944 and the D-Day invasion has failed, Germany's army have successfully invaded England and the Nazi war-machine is now heading west towards Wales. A group of women in an isolated Welsh village near the English border wake up to discover all of the their husbands have mysteriously vanished. They have headed into the mountains to join the Resistance.

Interspersed with a commentary by a female narrator,who at times assumes their roles,the father,mother and daughter and son of a black,South London family commence their day and we follow them through it in all its mundanity until it climaxes in a random act of violence,killing one of the family and taking up the after-math.
