児童福祉職への就職が決まっている束谷大学文学部社会学科4年生・堀貝佐世(佐久間由衣)は、アルバイトと学校と下宿先を行き来しながら、友人たちと退屈な日々を過ごしていた。そんな中、同じ大学に通う猪乃木楠子(奈緒)と出会い、痛ましい過去を持つ彼女と親しくなる。やがて、学内の知人・穂峰直(笠松将)の死をきっかけに、堀貝は何げない日常と隣り合わせにある残酷な現実を知ることになる。
