商社マンの後妻に迎えられた知子は、先妻の娘の家庭教師、健太郎と廃工場で関係を結んだ。そこは、最近ホステスが暴漢され殺害された場所だ。そこへ、スーパーマーケットの主任、宏と店員の文代がやって来て絡み始めた。文代は恍惚の表情で「首を絞めて」と宏に哀願する。絶頂とともに宏の指に力がはいり、果てたときには、文代は息絶えていた。目撃していた知子と健太郎は一目散で逃げだした。数日後、スーパーで宏と視線の合った知子は恐怖に店を飛びだした。一方、文代の死体が気になった宏は、ある夜、廃工場にいくと、そこで、暴漢魔がある女を殺害している現場を目撃、あわてて逃げ帰った。暫くして、宏はガスの検針を装い知子の家へ訪れ、強引に犯すと、それ以後、二人の関係は急速に接近していった。そして、健太郎が邪魔になってきた知子は、ドライブに誘うと、カーセックス中に、ネクタイで絞殺した。そこへ宏がやって来て、死体を処理すると、どちらからともなく二人は笑みを浮かべた。廃工場では、今日も暴漢魔が出没、新たな犠牲者がでようとしていた。

夏のある日、ちひろ(原悦子)は養父・軍治(江角英明)の危篤の報に6年ぶりに帰郷した。自宅は軍治が警官を辞してから射的屋を営んでいた。彼女は店内に入ると店番をしている光一(田山涼成)がいた。彼によれば、軍治は危険な状態は回避したもののガンに冒されており、余命3か月と診断されているという。ちひろは冷ややかな表情だった。彼女の脳裏には6年前の、高校2年生の夏の一場面が蘇っていた。

The film is based on 17th century Chinese erotic novel by Li Yu best known as The Carnal Prayer Mat. Mio is a struggling writer who writes a pornographic book entitled Flesh Futon which becomes a surprise best seller. With his newfound wealth, Mio begins indulging in the nightlife, excusing his activities to his wife by saying it is for research. Mio's reputation comes crashing down when a prostitute reports that his penis is like a "guppy". More bad luck follows. His book is banned, and his wife puts him on a short leash. At the height of his misfortune, his house is robbed. Mio meets the robber who turns out to be the Japanese folk-hero Nezumi Kozō.
