ある日突然、密室に閉じこめられた6人の男女。それは正方形の巨大な立方体（CUBE)だった。いったい何のために作られたものなのか、なぜ自分たちが閉じこめられたのかは誰も知らない。脱出方法は6つあるハッチのいずれかを選び、同じ立方体でつながっている隣に移動しながら出口を探す以外ないが、いくつかの部屋には殺人トラップが仕掛けられていた。そんな中、やがて彼らは安全な部屋を示す“暗号”に気づく。
