Middle-aged farmer Noda Masao (Daichi Yasuo) is a good, honest man, but his attempts for marriage have all met with failure. Through a friend, Masao meets Liberty (Ruby Moreno), a Filipino woman working in Japan. When they decide to get married, Masao borrows money from his Agricultural Association and travels to the Philippines for the wedding - only to discover that it was all a scam. Stranded in Manila with no money, Masao ends up staying to work. One day he meets a beautiful farmer's daughter, Christina (Alice Dixson), reawakening not only his chances for love, but also his love for farming.
Production Design
Two female truck drivers detest each other, and try to steal each other's business. Their rigs are both painted with elaborate large pictures of beautiful naked women. One day, whilst hauling loads of fish in Hokkaido, they are separately stopped by traffic police, who impound their trucks for various violations. About this time, one of the women meets a handsome man, with whom romance is a possibility. Then, the women discover they have been tricked. The cops were connected with the Russian mafia, who intend to ship their trucks offshore and sell them.

17年ものプロ生活でまだ一度も優勝の経験がないプロゴルファー織部金次郎、通称“織金”。妻にも愛想を尽かされた彼は、離れて暮らすとはいえ、まだ父を慕ってくれる2人の娘の存在だけが心のよりどころだった。ある時、下町のゴルフ練習場でレッスンプロとして働き始めた織金は、ゴルフ好きが集まる地元のスナック「バーディー」のマスター周や彼の妹の桜子ら町の人々に応援され、再びトーナメント挑戦を決意する。

高知中央署の刑事、片山元は列車による犯人の護送中、腹痛で苦しむ若い女性と出会う。一見して身重と分かる体に陣痛が始まったかと、犯人のことも忘れて大あわて。彼女はただの食べすぎと判明した時には、犯人の入っているはずのトイレの中はもぬけのからだった。犯人は捕まったが、この事件がキッカケで片山は免職となってしまう。

弘前中央署に、札幌署から堂垣内と佐藤の二人の刑事が訪ねて来た。彼らの依頼は、二年前札幌でおきた現金輸送車襲撃事件の証拠として残されたりんごの種の品種分析である。早速、片山刑事が二人をりんご試験場に案内したが、りんごの種から品種分析することは不可能であった。失意の二人を誘って入った喫茶店は、片山が今朝出会った少年たけしの母親・澄江の店であった。
