世界中にその名を知られる、国民的大女優ファビエンヌが、自伝本「真実」を出版。海外で脚本家として活躍している娘のリュミール、テレビ俳優として人気の娘婿、そのふたりの娘シャルロット、ファビエンヌの現在のパートナーと元夫、彼女の公私にわたるすべてを把握する長年の秘書─。“出版祝い”を口実に、ファビエンヌを取り巻く“家族”が集まるが、全員の気がかりはただ一つ。「いったい彼女は何を綴ったのか？」そしてこの自伝に綴られた＜嘘＞と、綴られなかった＜真実＞が、次第に母と娘の間に隠された、愛憎うず巻く心の影を露わにしていき―。

Wael, a former street child, makes a living from small scams with his adoptive mother and partner-in-crime Monique. When this unconventional duo swindles the wrong guy, Victor, an old acquaintance of Monique now in charge of a support organization for troubled teens, they have no choice but to become his interim secretary and educator in order to redeem themselves.

In Montreal, the unemployed fashion designer Sophie Malaterre is shown a website, switch.com, where it is possible to switch houses with a stranger for vacation. Sophie seeks an apartment in Paris nearby the Eiffel Tower that belongs to Bénédicte Serteaux and they change apartments. Sophie arrives in Paris on Saturday morning. The next morning, policemen break in the apartment and arrest Sophie while she is having a bath. Detective Damien Forgeat interrogates Sophie believing that she is Bénédicte and she learns that a beheaded body was found in her room and all evidence of her life has been deleted.
