While wandering around the city on his bike, as if trying to find a path for his life, a nameless protagonist thinks about the encounters and mis-encounters that perpetuate or change his routines, about the fears that trap him and the dreams and desires that set him free. Gradually, the vertices of a love triangle are revealed, leading him to confess his anxieties and to question his certainties.

On this surrealistic tale, we follow Alice, 13, bubbly, colorful and… a Daughter of Death! Every day she receives a letter with a name and does her duty unwillingly. But her views on her job are challenged when she starts developing a relationship with a suicidal teenager.

Nobody knows the exact number of Portuguese fishermen that died in the cod fishing campaigns, during the dictatorship decades of the XXth century. Buried in the sea, or in faraway places in Newfoundland and Greenland, those sailors were left behind by the same country that glorified their role in the national efforts to rebuild the image of Portugal as a Country of seamen and navigators. Telling the stories of some of these anonymous men is our way of rescuing them from the oblivion, and of taking them – or their memory, at least - back home.
