両親と同居するブルーカラーの青年ビル・ウィリアムソン。彼は常に鬱屈し、怒りに満ちていた。その対象は地球の温暖化、世界の食糧危機、人口過剰、見境のない石油のムダ遣い。また、自分の日常もウンザリするようなことの連続。彼は自身以外の全てを憎み、ついに内なる憎悪が暴走。彼は自らの正気を証明するため、全身武装の無差別大量虐殺を始める。
