2人の黒人刑事コンビが繰り広げるアクション・ムービー。犯罪都市マイアミ。ある夜、市警始まって以来の大胆不敵な窃盗事件が発生した。警察内部に保管してあった1億ドル相当の押収ヘロインが跡形もなく消失したのだ。内部調査班が動きだし外部に洩れる前の解決が至上命題となった為、猶予は72時間しかない。麻薬調査班を率いるハワード警部は、この任をマーカス＆マイクのコンビに命ずる。
