かつて青春時代を過ごした街・銀平町に帰ってきた一文無しの青年・近藤は、ひょんなことから映画好きのホームレスの佐藤と、商店街の一角にある映画館・銀平スカラ座の支配人・梶原と出会い、バイトを始める。
The big New Year's Eve. A painter who has lost his wife while studying in the U.S. tries to complete a portrait of his dead wife before the New Year, but he just can't get the eyes right. Then he has a fateful encounter with a woman named Lynn, who resembles his wife, at the airport. The two of them get into a tuk-tuk, a three-wheeled cab known in Thailand, and embark on a journey to finish what they both want to finish. The two gradually become attracted to each other, but at the same time, their hidden pasts are revealed.
「無限ファンデーション」の大崎章監督と「ドンテンタウン」の井上康平監督が、「ベイビーわるきゅーれ」の高石あかりらを迎え、台本なしの全編即興演技で制作した意欲作。井上監督による「鳥を見にいく」、大崎監督による「はじめての映画」の2編で構成される。 「鳥を見にいく」には、ドラマ・演劇・映画とマルチに活躍する北浦愛、「幕が下りたら会いましょう」の木口健太、「暁闇」の中尾有伽、演劇界で活躍する細井じゅん、「無限ファンデーション」の日高七海が共演し、湖にバカンスに訪れた男女4人の生々しい恋愛模様を描いた。 「はじめての映画」には、高石のほか、「アルプススタンドのはしの方」の西本まりん、「茜色に焼かれる」の和田庵、「光を追いかけて」「神は見返りを求める」の下川恭平、映画監督の顔も持つ日下玉巳と新進の俳優が出演。映画作りに奮闘する高校生たちを描いた。
京香は母親の3回忌に親戚を集めて食事会を開く。妹の由梨も参加したが、ずっと不機嫌なまま。帰宅後、京香が由梨に食事会での態度を注意したことをきっかけに言い争いとなり、姉妹は互いの生き方を理解できずヒートアップしていく。
