ダニエル少年とミヤギ老人が空手を通して友情を育む姿を描く「ベスト・キッド」シリーズの第2弾。今回は舞台をミヤギの故郷、沖縄に移してミヤギに復讐を目論むグループとの対立を描く。ミヤギのもとに父親の危篤を知らせる手紙が届いた。彼は弟子のダニエル（マッチオ）を連れて、故郷の沖縄に戻る。だがそこには、かつて同じ女性を愛したがために宿敵となった男が、復讐のために待ちかまえていた……。
