ジャック（ジャン=マルク・バール）とエンゾ（ジャン・レノ）は、ギリシャの島で幼なじみとして育つ。やがて二人は成長し、コート・ダジュールで20年ぶりに再会した際、エンゾはイタリアのシチリアで開催されるフリーダイビング大会に参加するようジャックに伝える。同じころ、アンデスで偶然ジャックと出会ったジョアンナ（ロザンナ・アークエット）も、出張を口実にニューヨークからシチリアにやって来る。
