1983年、世界的に著名なビール会社「ハイネケン」のフレディ・ハイネケン会長が何者かに誘拐され、高額の身代金が要求される。巨大組織による犯行の線も考えられていたものの、犯人たちは犯罪に手を染めたこともない幼なじみ5人組だった。計画は順調に進んでいたはずだったが、次第に人質であるハイネケンの威圧的な言動に振り回され、誘拐犯たちの計画に狂いが生じ始める。
