前作での出来事の後、ゾーイとベンはエスケープ・ルームを仕掛けた企業、ミノス社を打倒すべく行動を開始した。ところが、2人はその過程で再びトラップだらけの部屋に閉じ込められてしまう。不可解なことに、その部屋にはかつてエスケープ・ルームから生還した人々（レイチェル、ブリアナ、ネイサン、テオ）が勢ぞろいしていた。ミノスの目的が分からないまま、ゾーイたちは生き残るために必死で知恵を絞っていくが、その果てにたどり着いたのは何とも悲しく、恐ろしい真実であった。
