少年トロイの両親、父親ジェフは白人至上主義者で、その妻クリスティは夫が過激な行動に走らないよう警戒する毎日。そんなトロイは、父親や同じく白人至上主義者であるその仲間たちから銃の扱い方を学ぶ。ジェフはある晩、妻子と出掛けたスーパーでひとりのアフリカ系男性とトラブルになり、仲間たちを呼んで男性を半殺しにしてしまう。だがやがてジェフはアフリカ系男性の仲間たちによって拉致され、恐ろしい事態を迎えてしまう。
