Nagisa (voice)
Set during the Meiji reformation era in a small village in Kyushu, Japan. The story revolves around a young boy named Izana and a blind woman named Takiri, the two encounter the large monster Nebula who since ancient times was feared as the god of lake Amenosagiri. Theme of the film focuses on the Japanese concept of light and darkness, as told by puppetry and model miniaturization of the films’ world with practical special effects by Keizo Murase.
Japanese society is without ideals - Two men and one woman, who grew up in a religious organization in , meet again and question their own ideals.
東京で人気の洋菓子店“パティスリー・コアンドル”に、恋人を追いかけて上京して来た少女、なつめが訪ねてくる。恋人は既に店を辞め、居場所が分からない。行く宛のないなつめは、泊り込みで働かせてくれと頼み込む。シェフ依子は、渋々雇うが、仕事は遅く、スタッフとも喧嘩ばかり。ある日、なつめは、自分のケーキをスイーツ評論家、十村に食べさせる。しかし、「0点だ」とあっさり。その日からなつめはケーキ作りに没頭する。
昭和55年、ある廃ビルで、質屋の店主が殺される事件が発生。決定的な証拠が不十分のまま、警察の捜査は打ち切られるが、担当刑事の笹垣は、ガス中毒死をとげた容疑者、西本文代の10歳の娘である雪穂の妙に大人びた態度と、被害者の息子でどこか暗い目をした10歳の少年・亮司の姿が脳裏に焼き付き、妙な割り切れなさを覚える。それから歳月は流れ、大人に成長した雪穂と亮司の周囲で、再び不可解な事件が続発するようになる。
