Hishaam Muhamad Saaleh Seleem is an Egyptian actor who graduated from the Collège de la Sainte Famille (Jésuites). He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is London after graduating from the High Institute of Tourism and Hotels in Cairo. Hishaam is the son of the Saaleh Seleem, football legend and former president of al-Ahly sporting club. His brother, Khaaled, married superstar Yousra. Hishaam married Mrs. Mervat Moustafa al-Nahhaas, now divorced, with three daughters. Seleem began his acting career at the age of 12, playing one of Faaten Hamaama’s children in “Embratoreyyet Meem i.e. Empire M”. Four years later, he played a lead role in Chahine’s “’Awdat al-ebn al-daal i.e. The return of the prodigal son (1976)”. Hishaam played dozens of TV series, among them are “Layaaly al-Helmeyya i.e. Helmeyya nights”, “Arabesque” and “Al-raaya al-beida i.e. The white flag”. He has appeared in many famous films including “Eskendereyya kamaan we kamaan i.e. Alexandria..again and forever” “Al-aragoz i.e. The pupeteer,” and “Al-‘aassefa i.e. The tempest.” Heshaam Seleem stage played “Shaare’ Muhammad ‘Aly i.e. Muhammad Aly street” and “Lamma baba yenaam i.e. When daddy sleeps”.
