Debjani Chatterjee is an Indian actress who is best known for her supporting roles in Bengali films. Significant film credits include Abohomaan (2009), Someday Somewhere (2011), Idiot (2012) and Durga Sohay (2017). Besides these, she has also appeared in popular Bengali TV shows like Ganer Opare and Checkmate.

Abohomaan tells the story of Aniket, one of the finest filmmakers of Bengal in eastern India and the loves of his life. Devoted to his craft, Aniket met and fell in love with his wife Deepti, an actress, while they worked together on the set of a film. They were so in love that Deepti sacrificed her own career for her husband's and for their son Apratim, but lost a little of who she was in the process. The plot thickens when Aniket auditions a young actress, Shikha, who bares an uncanny resemblance to his wife when she was younger. Deepti enthusiastically begins to coach Shikha for her husband's film - so much so that Shikha becomes even more like the girl Deepti used to be and as a result the aging Aniket falls in love with Shikha, a woman as young as his son, despite the sadness and trouble it brings to his family.

Dujone has the college-going Meghna (Srabanti) and Akash (Dev) falling for each other. But with Meghna's dad being in the fish business as opposed to Dev's industrialist dad, objections are an obvious progression. Things get murkier and gory what with Akash's dad keeping him caged in Siliguri and Meghna's against-romance pishi (Seema) keeping a hawk's eye on her every move. And just when you thought you've seen the best of De's muscle flexing and Srabanti's desperation to meet Akash, in comes a contract killer (Arijit) employed by Akash's dad to finish off Meghna. As all action stories should end, Dujone too reaches a fitting finale with Meghna-Akash's love triumphing over all odds.
