Teaming with Roderick Strong only one week later, they fought to a double disqualification against Steve Madison and Chris Kanyon on July 30, 2005.
The following month, with Lovett in his corner, Quartermain defeated Glacier at a Coastal Championship Wrestling event becoming the number one contender for the CCW heavyweight title on August 13 and defeated Steve Madison, Chris Kanyon and Erick Stevens for EWE in a no disqualification match with The Market Crashers on August 19, 2005.
