Second Assistant Director
It is 1889, New Mexico. The gold rush is over and most of the prospectors have moved on. In the middle of nowhere stands a crumbling Antebellum mansion - a bordello that has seen better days. Enoch, the inept pimp, owes a considerable amount of money to the town's psychopathic Sheriff. Money is tight: business is down and the five-woman in the house are tearing each other apart. The only thing they can agree on is their love for Angel, a seven-year-old child whose mother died in childbirth.

Charlie Cunningham begs her mom, Amber, to let her switch from her small private school to a public high school, wanting to prove to her (and to herself) that she's changed since being kicked out of school last year. Growing up without any luxuries, Amber works overtime as a doctor in order to give Charlie the finer things in life. It's also her way of making up for her divorce two years ago, and she worries that Charlie blames herself for the separation. Amber is concerned Charlie will return to her old ways, falling into the wrong crowd and getting mixed up in drugs and alcohol, but she reluctantly agrees. The new school starts off well; Charlie receives good grades and praise from her teachers and joins the robotics team - until she falls in with the wrong crowd, starts abusing synthetic weed, and becomes a shell of her former self.

Hope has always been close to her daughter Lacy. But since her divorce from her husband, Hope has been worried about Lacy, who is struggling to cope. So Hope is excited when Lacy brings home a new friend, Cassie, whose parents recently divorced as well. Lacy and Cassie quickly become the best of friends. But when Cassie begins to drive a wedge between Lacy and her mother, Hope beings to wonder if Cassie is the godsend she first imagined.

Mallory, is sitting alone at a table in a fancy restaurant, waiting for her date to arrive. Ben, finally shows up rudely talking on his phone and Mallory begins to wish she stayed home. Ben is rude and arrogant and talks down to Mallory, just as the date couldn't get worse Lacey and Darlene show up, Lacey an old friend of Ben's. The night takes a turn when the King Crab that was ordered for her begins to talk to her, his name is Chuck and after living on this planet for thousands of years he sees his life is about to end so he proposes an offer to Mallory. If Mallory allows Chuck to use her body as a new host he will promise her a new life, a better life. She agrees and a whole new journey begins.
