A young sailor Sasha travels the world and sends letters to his father from every city where the ship stops. But all his letters remain unanswered for many years. Since childhood, Sasha has not seen his father, he does not have his phone, only the postal address has been preserved. For him, one-way letters have already become a ritual. But one day, returning home from a voyage, a sailor finds a reply letter in his mailbox.

And it’s not just the material basis of our world made of metal, concrete or wood, but it’s also something that gives meaning to our lives, inspires and gives hope. The film’s characters — a locksmith and a fisherman, a steelworker and a farmer, a furniture maker and an anesthesiologist — are followed by the film’s Director, who suddenly turns from an observer into a creator.

The main heroine is the cosmonaut's wife. Despite the fact that she is on Earth and her husband is in orbit, the spouses decide to “go” on a date to Georgia. The heroine walks through the old city of Tbilisi and the Kazbegi mountains, dines at a local restaurant and tells her lover about all her impressions by phone. So that her husband can better understand where she is, the girl calls him the latitude and longitude of her location on Earth.
