1950年、朝鮮戦争が勃発。北朝鮮援護のため出兵した中国人民志願軍は、アメリカを中心とする国連軍を相手に、苦戦を強いられていた。１９５３年７月、『金城の戦い』がはじまる。戦場に部隊を送るには、金剛川に掛けた木造の橋を渡らねばならない。しかし、米空軍爆撃機が何度も襲来し、その度に橋の修理をすることになる。中国軍が米軍に対抗できる術は、２台の高射砲のみ。その砲台を任された小隊長の張と関は、仲間を護るため自らの命を賭して米軍機に戦いを挑むが……

This story is adapted from real events. The defending team in the story is the main member of an African bodyguard company composed of Chinese.
