聖母マリア女子高等学院で、経営者の娘で人気者だった白石いつみが校舎の屋上から落下して死亡した。彼女の手にはすずらんの花が握られており、自殺、事故、他殺と、その死をめぐってさまざまな憶測が飛び交う。そして、いつみ主宰の文学サークルの誰かによって殺されたといううわさが立つ。いつみに代わってサークルの会長となった澄川小百合は、彼女の死をテーマにした自作の朗読会を開催。メンバー各自が、物語の中でいつみ殺害犯を告発していく。
