2008年8月、南オセチアの平和維持活動にかかわるザウールは、離婚した妻クセーニアが育てている息子チョーマにも自然を楽しんでもらいたいと考え、妻に頼んでチョーマを呼び寄せてもらった。 だが、そんな矢先、グルジア軍の侵攻により南オセチア紛争が勃発。チョーマの身を案じたクセーニアが戦場へ乗り込むと、巨大ロボットの姿が目に飛び込んできた。
