Kou created songs and uploads them to the Internet, and Yuka and Saki enjoy his music as fans, always listening with deep interest and admiration. Their final summer vacation has begun as junior high school students.

2012年の夏。埼玉県狭山市にある中学校のプールに、夏祭りで余ったと考えられる400匹の金魚が放たれる事件が発生。犯人はその中学校に通う、15歳の少女4人組だった。“きれいだと思ってやった”と供述した4人がプールに金魚を放ったことには、実は意外な理由があった。4人は地方の町でそれなりに楽しく暮らしつつも退屈な毎日で、町に未来が無いと思い、閉塞感を覚えていた。そして4人はある夏祭りに出掛けるが……。
夏期講習での登校日。悦子のクラスでは“宇宙人が呼べるかもしれない” という話題で盛り上がり、「宇宙人を呼ぶ会」を行う事に。
