高校生の明（石黒英雄）の兄の篤（渡辺大）は、数年前に旅行に出掛けたまま失踪（しっそう）しており、今なお行方がわからないままだ。そんなある日、彼の前に謎の女性（水川あさみ）が現れ、兄は彼岸島という孤島にいると告げる。明は単身その島に乗り込む決意をするが、幼なじみの仲間たちも同行することになり……。
