高校生のサイモン(ニック・ロビンソン)は、ゲイであることをカミングアウトするか迷っていた。ある日サイモンは、ブルーと名乗る匿名のゲイが学校にいることを知る。ブルーとメールで連絡を取り合うようになったサイモンだったが、そのメール履歴を見た同級生にサイモンの女友達との恋の橋渡しをしろと脅されてしまう。
