マンハッタン、タイムズスクエア。自称一流のパブリシスト、スチュは、今日もアシスタントを従え、携帯電話からクライアントや業界に口八丁でビジネスをまとめ上げている。そんな彼はアシスタントと別れた後、1台の電話ボックスに立ち寄り、結婚指輪を外してクライアントの新進女優パメラに電話を掛けた。スチュは彼女をモノにしようとしていたが、上手くいかずに受話器を置く。その刹那、今使っていた公衆電話のベルが鳴り、思わず受話器を取ってしまうスチュ。すると電話の主は、“電話を切ったら殺す”と脅迫してきたのだった…。

1988年、アメリカ・マサチューセッツ州ミドルセックス。ある晩、高校生ドニー・ダーコの前に銀色のウサギが現われる。ドニーはウサギに導かれるようにフラフラと家を出ていく。そして、ウサギから世界の終わりを告げられた。あと28日6時間42分12秒。翌朝、ドニーはゴルフ場で目を覚ます。腕には「28.06.42.12」の文字。帰宅してみるとそこには、ジェット機のエンジンが落下していてドニーの部屋を直撃していた。何がなんだか分からないながら九死に一生を得たドニー。その日から彼の周囲では、不可解な出来事が次々と起こり始めた。

As Sgt. Randozza, a beefy, gay Chicago cop, leaves a bar with his lover, a gang of high-school punks decide to do some "fag-bashing". Tony's gun cools them off, and after giving them a brutal verbal dressing down, he forces the leader of the gang, Jimmy, to come to his house the next night for dinner. Jimmy soon gets a harsh lesson in sexual tolerance.

Walter is a successful doctor, and so is his wife Evelyn. Wealthy and good-looking, they should be a happily married couple, but they're not.
Walter is so caught up in his career that he fails to keep up with Evelyn. So when she falls for the charms of Greg, a real estate Romeo, it takes Walter by surprise. Even more so, because he finds out about it from Stephanie, Greg's deserted TV weather girl girlfriend.
