サーカスで生まれた象のダンボは、耳が大き過ぎると笑われていた。だがサーカスの元スター、ホルト(コリン・ファレル)の娘ミリー(ニコ・パーカー)と息子のジョー(フィンリー・ホビンズ)は、家族の一員としてダンボと接していた。ある日ミリーとジョーは、偶然ダンボが空を飛べることを知る。そのことが、ほかのサーカスを経営するヴァンデヴァー(マイケル・キートン)の耳に入る。

It tells the story of young lovers who tries to build a life together until career opportunities sends them to a different country where their relationship will be tested.
