2267年、環境汚染の進んだ地球を捨て、人類はいくつかの宇宙ステーションに避難した。しかし宇宙ステーションはすぐに飽和状態となり、人々は劣悪な環境で暮らすことを強いられた。彼らに残された夢は地球そっくりの惑星レアへの移住。医者であるラウラは、姉が待つ惑星レアへの切符を手にするため、他のステーションへの貨物船へドクターとして乗り込んだ。この簡単な仕事が終わればレアへ行ける大金が手に入る。しかし、その貨物船には思いもよらないものが積まれていた……。
