Rich Attonito

UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on December 10, 2011 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. A bout between Lyoto Machida and Phil Davis was linked to the event, but Davis was still recovering from a knee injury and the bout did not occur. A bout between Jon Jones and Rashad Evans was also linked to the event. However, a lingering thumb injury meant Evans missed a title bout with Jones for the second time, as Jones faced Lyoto Machida. Rory MacDonald was expected to face Brian Ebersole at the event, but on November 8, MacDonald pulled out of the bout because of injury and was replaced by Claude Patrick, who was promoted from a preliminary card bout with Rich Attonito. Rich Attonito remained on the card and faced UFC newcomer Jake Hecht.

Matthew Riddle was expected to face TJ Grant, but was forced from the bout with an injury and replaced by Charlie Brenneman. However, just days before the event Grant was forced from the card due to an unknown illness. Without proper time to find a replacement the bout was scrapped. Anthony Johnson was expected to face Nate Marquardt in the main event, but was forced from the bout with a rotator cuff injury and replaced by Rick Story. However, Nate Marquardt did not receive medical clearance the day of the weigh-ins and therefore pulled out of the main event. Charlie Brenneman, whose earlier bout with TJ Grant was removed from the card, stepped in to fight Rick Story, while the Pat Barry vs. Cheick Kongo fight was promoted to the main event. Dana White subsequently announced that Marquardt would be cut from the UFC due to the seriousness of the failed medical clearance but because of Pennsylvania health privacy laws, White could not disclose the specifics of the case

UFC Fight Night: Marquardt vs. Palhares, also known as UFC Fight Night 22 (and formerly known as UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Belcher) was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on September 15, 2010 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. The event also served as a lead in to the season premiere of The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck.

The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale was a mixed martial arts event that was held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on June 19, 2010. Featured were the finalists from The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz in the Middleweight division and a fight between Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill.
