日本の大企業ナカモトがロサンゼルスの一角に建てた超高層ビルの落成パーティが開かれた夜、ビル内でコールガールのシェリルの変死体が発見された。外国人がらみの事件を担当する市警渉外係のウェッブ・スミス警部補は、ジョン・コナー警部と共同で捜査を開始した。コナーは日本人の習慣に沿った捜査法を進めるが日本人をよく思わないグラハム刑事は批判的だった。ナカモトでは最近、日本から出向いた重役のヨシダ、ロス支社のエリート・イシハラ、ネゴシエイターのリッチモンドらがマイクロコン社の買収を進めていたが、アメリカの軍事技術開発にも関わっている同社だけに米議会が認めず、難航していた。

Soon after, the residents of a small California town disappear as the result of spider bites from the deadly spider offspring. It's up to a couple of doctors with the help of an insect exterminator to annihilate these eight legged freaks.
