Six blind professional musicians ranging in age from 17 to 65 come together in a London recording studio to create and record a musical tribute to Louis Braille, the creator of a reading system for the blind used since 1824 to the present day. The film includes a journey to Paris to discover the fascinating story of Louis Braille, then how the system crossed the channel into England in 1860 and became a world wide system that made literacy possible for blind people. The use of Braille for musicians and Louis Braille's own musical life are emphasised in the film. The film also shows the multiple ways Braille has fit in easily with modern technology. All the musicians, interviewees and experts who appear in the film are blind.
