Clare-Louise is a performer, theatre-maker and filmmaker. She trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, UK, on the MA Theatre Lab course, graduating in Sept 2012. Clare is co-Artistic Director of Hot Coals Productions an award winning theatre and film production company. Clare is partially deaf, having lost her hearing as a teenager, she speaks English and has British Sign Language Level 4. Clare-Louise is the daughter of the late comic actor Arthur English.

Clive is now 15 years old and attending Goring School, having been evacuated from Margate School for the Deaf. Clive’s father, away serving in the Navy, receives a heartfelt letter from his wife, Dorothy. As Christopher reads the letter English, BSL and Visual Vernacular interweave to tell the shocking story of a war plane crashing to the ground meters away from Clive’s classroom.
