略歴

Born in Paris, raised in Egypt, and of Armenian origin, Dessil Mekhtigian developed her essence of filming and storytelling through her rich multicultural background. After graduating from the Lycée Français du Caire, she moved to Paris to study and work in costume design. After acquiring experience on film sets in Paris as an assistant costume designer, she applied to L’Ecole de la Cité du Cinéma to become a director. Since graduating in 2018, she has been working on professional films and her own personal projects ever since. Her debut short, 'From the Work of the Devil,' landed its world premiere at the 2022 Cairo International Film Festival.
