Nami has been creating artwork for a new video game based on images she's been seeing in her dreams. With one of the game producers, she travels out to an abandoned house that seems to match her visions. As they explore the old mansion, Nami begins to have more visions of a forgotten childhood, until at last she comes across a photo of twin infants, labelled "Nami" and "Naomi". As Nami and the producer go from room to room, an unseen person seems to be watching them from a hidden room.

四国の山奥にある小さな村。坊之宮家の女が代々受け継いできた狗神様。この坊之宮家は、“執りつかれると食い殺される”と、村人たちから忌み嫌われる狗神筋の家系でありながらも、村では平穏な日々を過ごしていた。 そんなある日、村に小学校教師として青年、奴田原晃が現れ、坊之宮の女・美希と関係を持ってしまう……。

Some students decide to set up a play written by one of their classmates, who has commited suicide. The play is based on a tragic and mysterious legend about a love affair between two teachers at the school long ago. Some girls then accidentally stumble over some information about the legend, and the girl who commited suicide. Shortly after, the girls start turning up dead in seeming accidents.

有季と貢が通う私立光陽館高校。ある日登校拒否を続けていた段田が仮面を付け現れる。彼はまるで別人のように人格が変わっていた。その日を境に一人また一人と増えていく仮面生徒。それはいつしか仮面ブームという社会現象にまで発展していく。そんな中、段田が遺体で発見される。そして、ついに暴走を始める仮面生徒たち。同級生の死に不審を抱き仮面の謎を探り始める有季と貢の前に、仮面作りに魅せられた妖しくも美しい青年・堂島が現れる。彼を中心に複雑に絡み合う人間たち。そして仮面。ついに第二、第三の悲劇が起る。
