略歴

France Dougnac est née dans une famille d'artistes. Ses parents étaient danseurs, puis mimes, avant de devenirmarionnettistes et de fonder la Compagnie de marionnettistes Mathilde et Paul Dougnac. Son frère Michel, compositeur, rejoint la troupe familiale en 1971. En 1979, la compagnie devient une association sous le nom d’Atelier de Création de Marionnettes Dougnac, et s’installe à La Celle-Saint-Cloud. France Dougnac suit ses études secondaires au Cours Hattemer dans le 8e arrondissement de Paris, avant d'être engagée, à l'âge de dix huit ans, pour jouer dans le film Les Cent Livres des hommes de Nat Lilienstein. Après une carrière d'une dizaine d'années à la télévision, et d'une vingtaine d'années au cinéma, elle disparait du petit écran en 1978 et du grand écran en 1988. Elle se consacre alors au théâtre (TNP: théâtre national populaire). Elle prit sa retraite en 2010.
