During a trip to Berlin, a young Amish in the middle of a rite of passage reconnects with his roots, explores other ways of life, falls in love — and faces a big decision.
Roland Mathis dies after falling down the stairs. He was an unsavoury private eye who had been blackmailing Anton Galba and his secret lover about their affair. Galba, who is the director of the local sewage treatment plant in Dornbirn, panics and gets rid of the body by putting it in the grinder. Nathan Weiss, the police officer investigating the case immediately suspects Galba. However, he can also think of a nasty character he would like to get rid of. Galba has no choice but to help him, but for Weiss this is just the beginning: It’s time to eradicate the scum from society.

Produced and directed by seven Munich Film School students, Honolulu takes place not in Hawaii, but inside of a rural town just outside of Munich, Germany. Several vignettes, lasting approximately 10 to 15 minutes each, are connected by one of the town’s public bus routes, outside of which two men booze the night away while waiting for the bus to make its rounds.

The resulting animated films show episodes of the life of Werner, a plumber apprentice and motorbike enthusiast and his friends. They are interspersed with the live-action portions.

Albert Zack is a struggling, bumbling, advertising salesman hired to save the Beaver Bra Company from impending doom. He is charged with signing five specific, world-famous, busty woman as endorsers for the bra line. Silly antics and situations occur as he tries, mostly in various costumes, to get close enough to these women to make his pitch for their signature. Working against him are two board members who stand to gain if the company fails. As he circles the globe in search of these signatures, he is faced with a variety of challenges, one of which is a relationship with his own secretary.
