Jaume Balagueró Bernat (born November 2, 1968 in Lleida, Catalonia) is a Catalan film director who has worked primarily in the horror genre. He is best known as the co-creator of the "[REC]" series of found-footage zombie films.

Far from feeling safer, he soon becomes obsessed with the idea that someone is stalking him, and he connects the signal from the surveillance cameras to the TV in the living room. Progressively, the images of the closed circuit supplant the programs and the movies, until becoming the only thing that is reproduced on the screen. His wife and his children helplessly witness the man's madness... but maybe "something" out there is really threatening the family. Something visible only between the pixels of the TV.

Samuel Salomon, a literature professor, has been off work for almost a year after the tragic death of his girlfriend. Samuel has been suffering from a recurring nightmare in which a woman is brutally murdered in a strange ritual. Suddenly, the same woman who appears every night in his dreams is found dead in exactly the same circumstances. Samuel sneaks into the crime scene and there he meets Rachel who has also dreamed about the murder. Together, they will do whatever they can to discover the identity of the mystery woman, entering a terrifying world controlled by the figures who have inspired artists throughout time: the Muses.
