This documentary special, featuring interviews with main Dragon Quest creators Yuji Horii, Koichi Nakamura, Akira Toriyama, and Koichi Sugiyama, originally aired on NHK at the end of 2016 to celebrate Dragon Quest’s 30th anniversary. In addition to the interviews, there’s behind the scenes footage of DQXI, plus a re-telling of the making of the very first Dragon Quest.

Inspired by the nationally popular video game series, the Tokyo-based ballet company Star Dancers Ballet's Ballet Dragon Quest was first produced in 1995. It was the first show that combined ballet with the video game. Ever since the ballet has been enthusiastically welcomed by not only ballet-lovers but also those who would otherwise never see a ballet, including Dragon Quest fans. It has been highly regarded as a unique and exceptional entertainment-ballet that successfully broadens the border of ballet. For the first time, this performance has been captured on video.

ゴジラシリーズ第17作、「平成シリーズ」第2作（実際に平成になって制作されたのは本作が初）。 1984年、ゴジラに襲撃された新宿で、その被災現場からゴジラ細胞（G細胞）を密かに盗み出した者がいた。中東サラジア国のエージェントである。その国では遺伝子工学の権威・白神博士がG細胞の研究を行っていたのだ。だが“バイオ・メジャー”と名乗る集団に研究所は破壊され、博士は一人娘の英理加を失ってしまう。一方、ゴジラ襲来から5年後の現在、幼い子供たちがゴジラ復活を予言するような夢を見続けている事が判明する。三原山内において再び活動を開始したゴジラに備え、政府は核を制御する抗核バクテリアの研究を白神博士に依頼する。しかし博士は、亡き娘の細胞が埋め込まれたバラと、ゴジラ細胞を融合させ、ビオランテを生み出してしまう。時を同じくし、ついにゴジラが覚醒。ゴジラとビオランテの激闘が始まる！

Dragon Quest Fantasia Video is a direct-to-video live action production of the Dragon Quest series that was released by Enix in 1988. A silent reinterpretation of different elements of the Erdrick trilogy games set to various music from the games composed by Koichi Sugiyama and performed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. The video was planned and produced by Toshio Okada, who was then the head of anime studio Gainax, who worked on the movie's special effects, and Tohokushinsha Film.

「伝説巨神イデオン　接触篇」と「発動篇」は、視聴率低迷を理由に39話で打ち切られてしまった、同名SFTVシリーズの劇場版である。TV版の「イデオン」は、「機動戦士ガンダム」の終了後すぐに富野喜幸（現：由悠季）監督が手掛けた作品だった。だが、一連の富野作品の中でも特に難解で、哲学的、宗教的な内容に、当時の主視聴者層である子どもたちが戸惑ってしまった。しかし、放送終了後に評価が高まり、TVシリーズの総集編で1本、本来制作されるはずだった残り4話分のエピソードで1本という形で映画化が実現した。地球の植民地“ソロ星”に、伝説の無限エネルギー“イデ”の探索にやってきた異星人バッフ・クランは、ちょっとした誤解が原因で地球人と交戦状態に突入してしまう。地球人はソロ星で発掘した第六文明人の宇宙船と巨神を使って宇宙へと逃れるが、それこそがバッフ・クラン人が探し求めていたイデだった。ひとつのエネルギー“イデ”をめぐって、ふたつの文明が争い、破滅へと向かう…。
