南洋のオベリスク島にやってきた探検隊は、その地でガッパという怪獣の子供を発見した。彼らは研究のため、子ガッパを日本に連れ帰る。そして子供を奪われた親ガッパたちが、子供のテレパシーをたどり日本に上陸してくる。防衛軍はただちにこれを迎撃するが、ガッパは熱線を吐いて街を壊滅状態に追い込んでいく……。
