北国の小さな町・海炭市の冬。造船所では大規模なリストラが行われ、職を失った颯太（竹原ピストル）は、妹の帆波（谷村美月）と二人で初日の出を見るため山に登ることに……。一方、家業のガス屋を継いだ晴夫（加瀬亮）は、事業がうまくいかず日々いら立ちを募らせていた。そんな中、彼は息子の顔に殴られたようなアザを発見する。

ハナワカズイチは銃砲刀剣類等不法所持、火薬類取締法違反で懲役3年の刑を受ける。晩秋の日高刑務所で受刑者番号222番を与えられ、刑務所生活が始まった。ハナワはそれぞれひとクセもふたクセもある4人の受刑者たちと同房。ハナワを含めた彼ら5人は次第に奇妙な連帯感で結ばれていく。ハナワにとって刑務所内での暮らしは予想に反して平穏で居心地の良いものだった。厳しく、一見風変わりな規律はたくさんあるが、暴力などは一切なく、テレビも見れて雑誌も読める。刑務所の中では、そんな穏やかな毎日が日々繰り返されていた。
22-year old secretary Kazuko first bumps into Tamaki on the way back from work. Tamaki is crawling along the sidewalk on crutches at a snail's pace, and stumbles into the young audiotypist after apparently having trouble with an ill-fitting shoe over her cast. After helping her back to her feet, Kazuko follows Tamaki back to her apartment, the two of them barely exchanging words. Once in Tamaki's room, Kazuko is dispatched on an errand to fetch some beer... Their game begins..

明治末期。大徳寺雪雄は、大徳寺医院院長としての地位と名誉、そして若く美しい妻・りんに囲まれ、誰もが羨むような境遇にあった。ただ気掛かりは妻・りんが雪雄と出会う前に遭った大火事のせいで記憶喪失になっていることだった。やがて、そんな彼に次々と不幸が襲い掛かる。
浅川は法律の抜け穴を利用して中小企業から金を巻き上げる詐欺師。ある日、経営不振にあえぐ町工場の社長をだまして帰ろうとした矢先、自分の正体を知る久美子と鉢合わせしてしまう。しかも、彼女はこの工場の義理の娘だった。だが、工場長に恨みを抱く久美子は浅川と手を組み、まんまと工場を倒産寸前に追い込むことに成功する。しかし、そこに亀和田が現れ、結局浅川は亀和田に全権を委託されるという形で、ボディーガードとして派遣されたＪと共に債権者との交渉をすることになる。

Minako, a Tokyo housewife, is depressed that everyone has an active life outside the home except her. Taking her inspiration from TV reports of a hitch-hiking chainsaw murderer, Minako decides to spice up her life by finding a young lover and running off with him by faking her kidnapping. While her family frets and worries, Minako has a wonderful time. Eventually, though, she decides it's time to go back to her family. Her lover, however, isn't ready for the fun to end, and Minako's fake kidnapping soon becomes all too real.
Takahashi moves into a new apartment after a divorce and as she tries to settle in, finds that she is having strange and violent dreams and weird things keep happening in her apartment. Her neighbour likes to listen to her through the wall, and becomes increasingly sensitive to her thoughts and feelings. A scientist father and son also live in the building; the son has an obsession with prosthetic body parts.

目黒区の住宅街の路上で頭部に独特な“突き傷”がある元暴力団員の死体が見つかる事件が発生し、警視庁捜査一課の合田警部補は被害者の身辺を調査し始める。その一方、ある法務省刑事局の職員が同じような“突き傷”のある遺体となって見つかる。合田は警察内部のしがらみに苦労しながらも、元暴力団員と法務省職員の両方に、ある弁護士が関係していたことを知る。やがて捜査線上に水沢という謎の青年の存在が浮上してくる。

Coffee-shop waitress Kanako, divorced with a young son, finds herself obliged to honour a rash promise she made to a long-time customer. He always wanted to be buried in the land rather than a cemetery, so that his body would be 'useful' - and now he's dead. Kanako and her boy enlist the help of a friendly florist with a small truck, steal the corpse, and head for the mountains.
